Dr Dougal Julian Hare is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council with over 30 years experience of working with people with autism, intellectual disabilities and other neurodevelopmental conditions. In addition to publishing the first clinical reports on using cognitive behavioural therapy with people with autism, he has made significant contributions in the understanding of anxiety, paranoia and catatonic states in people with autism.
In addition to his clinical work, in the NHS and independent sectors, Dr Hare has written over 100 clinical and scientific papers, held positions at leading UK universities and contributed to textbooks on autism & intellectual disabilities.
